Made from knotted fibres of carded wool embedded in felt, the work draws a parallel between two organic networks: neurons and mycelium. Although they belong to distinct worlds, both are traversed by electrical signals and transmit information through branching structures.
Their formal similarities blur the boundaries between the depths of the brain and the underground networks of the living world. The interwoven fibres evoke these interconnected systems and extend the explorations developed in Hylésthésie, an exhibition conceived as a sensory immersion into matter. The work thus invites us to contemplate the correspondences that run through the living world, between forms, functions and invisible flows.
